This picture was taken on the 4th of July. The prairie is yellows and oranges. There is a lot of butterfly weed, the black-eyed susans are blooming, the coreopsis are just starting. For accent there are some purple prairie coneflowers and the leadplant is showing just a hint of the purple to come.
